Chapter-17, Verse 20

Ashtavakra Gita Verse 17.20:

मनःप्रकाशसंमोहस्वप्नजाड्यविवर्जितः ।
दशां कामपि संप्राप्तो भवेद्गलितमानसः ॥ २० ॥

He who is free from the mental display of delusion, dream and dullness; Having attained any state he desires, becomes of a dissolved mind. || 20 ||

The first line describes the state of a Realized person who has transcended the three modes of ignorance (tamas), illusion
(rajas) and knowledge (sattva)
that are projected by the mind. He is not affected by the false identification with the body, the senses and the ego, nor by the fluctuations of the mind that create attachment and aversion. He is established in his True Nature as Pure Consciousness, which is self-luminous, blissful and eternal.

The second line implies that such a person has no desire or fear for any worldly or heavenly state, as he knows that they are all impermanent and unreal. He is content and satisfied with whatever comes his way, as he sees everything as a manifestation of his own Self. He does not cling to anything or reject anything, but remains detached and indifferent. He is not bound by any karma or samsara, but enjoys the freedom of his own will.

The phrase "becomes of a dissolved mind" means that he has no trace of individuality or personality left, as he has merged with the Supreme Reality. He has no sense of "I" or "mine", but only of "That" or "This". He has no distinction between subject and object, Self and other, or inner and outer. He has no need of any meditation or practice, as he is always in a state of natural samadhi. He is the embodiment of the highest wisdom and the Supreme Bliss.
