Ashtavakra Gita Verse 18.13:
कृत्यं किमपि नैवास्ति न काऽपि हृदि रञ्जना ।
यथा जीवनमेवेह जीवन्मुक्तस्य योगिनः ॥ १३ ॥
There is nothing needing to be done, or any attachment in his Heart for the Yogi liberated while still alive. Things are just for a life-time.
The Yogi who has realized his True Nature as the Pure Awareness, the Witness of everything, is free from all bondage and ignorance. He has no desire or aversion for anything in the world, nor does he have any sense of duty or obligation. He is not affected by the dualities of pleasure and pain, success and failure, or honor and dishonor. He is content and peaceful in himself, and does not depend on anything external for his happiness.
The Yogi who is Realized while still alive is also called a jivanmukta, meaning one who is free while alive. He has transcended the limitations of the body, mind, and ego, and has realized his identity with the Supreme Self, Brahman. He is not bound by the law of karma, and does not create any new impressions or actions that will result in future births. He lives in the present moment, without any attachment to the past or the future. He is not concerned with the results of his actions, but performs them spontaneously and effortlessly, as an expression of his natural state of Bliss.
The Yogi who is Realized while still alive does not deny or reject the world, but sees it as a manifestation of the same Consciousness that he is. He does not renounce or avoid the world, but engages with it with detachment and wisdom. He does not cling to or identify with anything in the world, but enjoys it as a play of the divine. He does not see any difference between himself and others, but sees all beings as his own Self. He does not have any ego or pride, but is humble and compassionate. He does not have any fear or sorrow, but is fearless and joyful.
