Chapter-18, Verse 9

Ashtavakra Gita Verse 18.9:

अयं सोऽहमयं नाहमिति क्षीणा विकल्पना ।
सर्वमात्मेति निश्चित्य तूष्णींभूतस्य योगिनः ॥ ९ ॥

This is that, I am this, I am not this - such thinking ends for the Yogi who has become silent, having Realized "Everything is myself".

The Yogi who has attained the State of silence is free from the duality of subject and object, Self and other, and I and not-I. He has realized the non-dual nature of Reality, which is Pure Consciousness, and has identified himself with it.

The Yogi does not entertain any thoughts or concepts that create distinctions or limitations in his awareness. He has transcended the mind and its shenaginans, which are the source of ignorance and bondage.

The Yogi sees everything as his own Self, which is the Self of all. He does not differentiate between the inner and the outer, the individual and the universal, or the manifest and the unmanifest. He is one with the Supreme Self, which is all-pervading and blissful.

Similar verses from other Vedic texts are:

Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 3.7.23:

नान्योऽस्ति द्रष्टा नान्योऽस्ति श्रोता नान्योऽस्ति मन्ता नान्योऽस्ति विज्ञाता । एष त आत्मान्तर्याम्यमृतः ॥

There is no other seer, no other hearer, no other thinker, no other Knower. This is that Inner Self, the ruler of all, the immortal.

This is another statement from the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad. It declares the uniqueness and supremacy of the Self, which is the Witness and Controller of all the functions of the body and mind.

Yoga Vasistha 6.2.34:

अहं विश्वं विद्यामहं विश्वं वेद्यमहं विश्वं विश्वमहं विश्वं विश्वात्माहम् ।

I know the universe, I am the Knower of the universe, I am the universe, I am the Self of the universe.

This is a verse from the Yoga Vasistha. It expresses the omniscience, omnipotence, omnipresence, and oneness of the Self, which is the essence of the universe.
