Chapter-20, Verse 06

Ashtavakra Gita Verse 20.6

क्व लोकः क्व मुमुक्षुर्वा क्व योगी ज्ञानवान् क्व वा।
क्व बद्धः क्व च वा मुक्तः स्वस्वरूपेऽहमद्वये॥६॥

Where is the world? Where is the seeker of liberation? Where is the Yogi? Where is the Wise One? Where is the bound? Where is the liberated? I am beyond all these dualities.

This verse from the Ashtavakra Gita highlights the non-dualistic Nature of the Self-Realized individual. It questions the existence of worldly identities and seekers of liberation, yogis, and the wise. It emphasizes that the True Self is beyond such dualities and classifications. The verse suggests that the Ultimate Realization lies in recognizing the non-dual nature of the Self.

Three similar verses along with their original Sanskrit script and English translations:

1. From the Upanishads (Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 1.4.10):

अहम्ब्रह्मास्मि

I am Brahman

2. From the Vedas (Rig Veda 1.164.46):

एकं सद्विप्रा बहुधा वदन्ति

Truth is one, the wise call it by many names

3. From the Yoga Vashishta:

ज्ञानमात्मा न च मतिः संशयो न च वासना

Knowledge is the Self, not mere intellectual understanding, devoid of doubts and desires

These verses encapsulate the essence of non-dualism and the Realization of the True Self. They emphasize the unity of existence, the identification of the Self with the eternal Truth, and the need to transcend dualities and attachments to achieve spiritual Realization.
